A Passover Menu for your Seder

Passover is on the horizon and it is not too early to order a delicious dinner from On Safari Foods. This year, Passover starts on Friday April 19 and ends on Saturday, April 27. All meals made in our Seattle catering kitchen can be prepared kosher-style, and we can use kosher meats upon request. Please contact us for pricing for kosher meats.


A few things to note:

Sorry, no substitutions are available for our prix fixe menus.

All menus are for a minimum of 10 guests.

PASSOVER MENU #1

  • On Safari’s house-made gefilte fish (1pc), served with horseradish

  • House-made matzoh balls (2pc) in our chicken soup (8oz)

  • Salad of butter lettuce, radicchio, and curly lettuce with shaved radishes, green onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and capers with a grapeseed, lemon, and garlic dressing

Choose 1 entree

  • Berber spice rubbed chicken (whole chickens, 1.5pc/pp)

  • Lemon and herb roasted chicken with matzoh stuffing (whole chickens, 1.5pc/pp)

Sides

  • Olive oil smashed potatoes

  • Roasted asparagus

  • Dilled carrots

Choose 1 Dessert:

  • Orange almond cake

  • Meringues with Rich’s cream and berries

  • Chocolate matzo crackers

PASSOVER MENU #2


  • On Safari’s house-made gefilte fish (1pc), served with horseradish

  • House-made matzoh balls (2pc) in our chicken soup (8oz)

  • Salad of mixed greens with beets, oranges, and white balsamic vinaigrette

  • Beef Brisket (5oz), with tzimmes

  • Mashed potatoes

  • Roasted asparagus

Choose 1 Dessert:

  • Orange almond cake

  • Meringues with Rich’s cream and berries

  • Chocolate matzo crackers


PRICE: $42.00 per person


PASSOVER MENU #3 (Parve)


  • House-made matzoh balls (2pc) in vegetable soup (8oz)

  • Salad of mixed greens with shaved vegetables and white balsamic vinaigrette

  • Salmon Salmoriglio with fresh herbs, olive oil, and lemon (4oz)

  • Mashed potatoes

  • Roasted asparagus

  • Charoset (2tbsp/pp) with matzoh

PRICE: $32.00 per person

DELICIOUS PASSOVER TREATS

  • On Safari’s divine meringues: $12.00 per dozen

  • Michele’s chocolate drizzled coconut macaroons (dairy): $2.00 each

  • Chocolate matzo crackers: made with fine Belgian chocolate: $16.00 per pound

  • Flourless chocolate torte: $60.00, serves 16


PASSOVER A LA CARTE

  • Chopped chicken liver (2 tbsp), served with matzoh (1 sheet) - $2.50pp (minimum 8pp)

  • Gefilte fish (1, 2oz piece) with horseradish (1 tsp) - $4.00 pp

  • Charoset (2 tbsp), served with matzoh (1 sheet) - $3.50pp (minimum 8pp)

  • Chicken soup (12oz) - $4.50 pp

  • Matzo balls - $1.50 each

  • Seder plate (1 lamb shank, 1 hardboiled egg, 1 sprig of parsley, 1 tbsp. horseradish, ½ cup charoset, 2 matzoh crackers): $10.00 each
